Again, the Meadows Turkey Bowl and the Mary Grace Memorial Foundation have partnered up to appeal to all those who have participated in Race with Grace.
Mary Grace was a family friend and inspiration to the Meadows Family and Turkey Bowl community. Her life inspired the Meadows Family to give to families battling cancer. A portion of the donations made on the Meadows Turkey Bowl website will go directly to families battling cancer.
Even more, this year’s Turkey Bowl is dedicated to Pete Meadows, who was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and has subsequently received successful brain surgery. He is currently beating cancer and committed to helping find a cure for the rare form of cancer with which he was diagnosed. For this reason, a portion of the donations of this year’s event will also be allocated to cancer research.
Started in 1989 by brothers Mike & Bill Meadows, the Meadows Turkey Bowl is a backyard football game of about 40+ players Thanksgiving morning, followed by a Breakfast & Awards Ceremony.
All the players show their gratitude for the game, friendship, and life by giving back & donating to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society. The Mary Grace Memorial Foundation, too, will benefit from funds raised at this year’s event.
We are extremely grateful to the Meadows Turkey Bowl family for including the Mary Grace Memorial Foundation as one of the nonprofits to receive funds from this year’s fundraiser.
